Due to buying an Asus Eee which has a screen resolution of 1024 x 600 I have repented of my Flash MX ways and decided to return to good old Notepad.

I had, previous to buying the Eee, fallen into the habit of writing web pages to look good at higher resolutions, it was a gaming thing; gaming changes the way one thinks about computers.

The Asus Eee makes me remember how good simple grey pages are.

I may have forgotten almost all XHTML tags, but I remember that grey looks good and that a width of 600 is a lot smaller than my pages used to be.

So, who am I?
Basically I’m a web dweller, a person whose name is recognised by Google; a gamer (Quake/Doom/Half-Life etc) I blog therefore I am, I am a musician -using ‘found objects’ and I write for Kinky Sex blog.

But I need a place, a web space, to put things into some kind of order; my web pages extend over more servers than I can count; this is my attempt at creating it. A kind of shoe-box of random files!

First thing:
Music. All my mp3s +Pentangle_Vodka+

The first PC game I ever played was Myst, this game was ultimately just a set of interactive pictures, an almost paper pop-up format. Myst was simple, no fancy graphics by today’s standards at all, but visuals at that time were very primitive worked for me -it got into my dreams- because of the sound effects.

Latter I played Half-Life, made my way back down the gaming evolutionary ladder to Quake and remain a loyal fan of Doom3.

Once I discovered Quake3Arena I realized that I’d returned to my home. Before computers were in every home (let alone Xbox or PlayStation) all I had were arcade games. I loved the twitchy games, the mindless violence (?) perhaps I’d been a cat in my previous life!

The world of Quake3, with its futuristic-medieval designs, and that beautiful sky still suits me better than any other game.

Next subject is my identity as a blogger. My everyday blog is And Then The road of Entities. I don’t remember when or why I started to blog -as I say, I blog therefore I am! The concept of being a non-entity (when my worth is measured in financial terms) doesn’t bother me at all. I merrily tweet like a silly bird, and am happy that all the time I waste at the PC could have been spent engaged in charity work!

I also contribute to Kinky Sex Link -a haven for BDSM bloggers. I'm do not class myself as a BDSM blogger, but I am proud to have been invited to join the party.

Back to the subject of identity, I am resolutely RideFlame where ever and when ever I write or play within the Internet.

Sometimes I think I should try to split my identity into different names, for the sake of privacy, but I’m just not that concerned.

So what else do I do, or have I done whilst out here in the web? I made a few web pages for artists using mp3.com and was paid in Cds, I used to write a lot about how to make films using games (machinima) and I wrote walkthroughs especially for the games made by Koumei Satou: Peaces Like Us and MOP. Finally today, my old site has just been consigned to oblivion and I've transferred my name to here, a space hosted by Google...so muc of what I had made has now gone. All that remains from Webhosting.UK is my 'history of Doom3' -see link.
