This year we would like to donate all the proceeds to one local family that has been fighting the leukemia battle for quite some time and the end seems to be moving further out of sight.  They recently learned that their little girl will have to undergo a bone marrow transplant as she has relapsed for a third time.  Having endured 2+ years of watching Heidi go through the various stages of her chemotherapy treatments and all the side effects that go with it, it is heart wrenching to know that this family will have to endure even more hardship and uncertainty, along with the additional stress and upheaval to their lives as she prepares for and then undergoes the actual transplant.  We are very fortunate in that Heidi will be done with her chemotherapy treatments in October of this year, not long after this year's ride.
