I've written sports for the Kalamazoo Gazette since 1998, when at 17 years-old I walked into the newspaper's offices and asked for a job.  I wrote until 2000, took a break to work in minor league hockey, and returned in 2003 as a freelance contributor.  My two main beats are/were Western Michigan University hockey and Kalamazoo Kings minor league baseball.
