If you are interested in becoming a member of the Bayside Basketball Official's Assoc., please contact Rick Roman at 410-749-2103. I am the assigner for the association. Our association is also IAABO #157.

All officials must be registered with the MPSSAA. Dues to the MPSSAA are $27 going into the 2009-2010 season. Our officials pay their dues in advanced. Dues to be a member of BBOA/IAABO 157 are $70 per year. Every official that is currently a member of our board should be getting the Officials Quarterly Magazine from the state. If not, you should email Jonathan Willey to make sure he has you registed with the state of Maryland.

When assigning games, I use the arbiter. Be sure to keep your close out dates current. If you have not able to work on a certain day, be sure to close it out on the arbiter. If it is not closed out, I expect you to be able to work the game.

Another important tool I use is Leagueminder. This can be used to check on games in the Bayside Conference. Just type in the school and then select the schedule to view.

If you are a transfer from another IAABO board, you will want to contact Albert Brooks. All transfers need to complete the necessary paperwork before I can assign you any games. Al is board 157's board secretary.

The BEST link to keep abreast of standing in the Bayside Conference is the Star Democrat. It does a better job, in my opinion, than all the other papers on the Eastern Shore.

Don Sparpaglione found a great site to review for your basketball test. It's on the left side under Spar's Great Test Review Site. It comes from an IAABO board in South Carolina.
