Virginia Gentlemen Ireland Tour in 2013

posted Jan 20, 2012 6:36 AM by Liam Riley
2013 marks the 50th anniversary of Richmond Rugby and in celebration we are now taking reservations and deposits for our May 1st- May 8th Dublin to Derry Ireland Tour. For those of you who went 5 years ago, you’ll recall it was one of the great rugby experiences of your fabled career. Slots are limited, so get your reservation(s) in quickly. Wives and girlfriends are welcome too (though you might not want to share that!). Pricing is based on 30 travelers, so you can plainly see the need for us to get your commitment and for you to get your per person refundable deposit in as soon as possible.

If you are 33 now, you’ll be 35 or close enough to climb onboard Air Gents to partake of the rugby trip of a lifetime.  Get that passport, get that deposit in and get on board! Details as we know them right now:
  • Pricing is based on 30 reservations currently
  • Rate per person is $2,998 which includes airfare, hotels, ground transportation, daily full breakfast, bad jokes, marital advice and a good buzz
  • $250 REFUNDABLE deposit per traveler required by March 1, 2012. Did I mention that this deposit is REFUNDABLE? If not, allow me to emphasize that this deposit is REFUNDABLE. In order to book plane tickets and hotel rooms for the group, we need to know we have the pro- forma commitments.
Send your REFUNDABLE deposit(s) to:

  • We will establish a payment schedule once REFUNDABLE commitments are received and you’ll have the option to spread these payments over time.
  • The itinerary calls for 2 nights in Dublin upon arrival, 3 nights in Derry and 2 nights again in Dublin on the return. That’s 7 nights of Irish bliss!
  • Last go around we played the Dublin Wanderers and then entered Derry’s Old Boys Tournament where we played against teams like Limerick, Derry, Coventry, England, and St. Pauli, Germany. It is our intention to once again schedule good fixtures throughout Ireland.
For more information on the hotels in Dublin and Derry, hit the links below. Doesn’t get much better than this! In Dublin we’ll be sure to hit St. James Gate to tour the Guinness facilities and Jameson’s Distillery. While in Derry we’ll take time to visit Bushmill’s Distillery and see places like the Giant’s Causeway.

www.templebarhotel.com smack dab in the middle of Dublin’s famed Temple Bar district and across the street from Trinity College (home of the Book of Kells). This area is like have a nice hotel right in the New Orleans French Quarter.

www.towerhotelderry.com this swanky pad is a 4 star hotel within the historic city walls and it’s the only hotel within the city walls. Great spot, great views and loads of fun.

Don’t miss this opportunity! Those who went last time will tell you that it was just plain fun!
