How-To: Fullscreen mode

Rhizosphere can operate in two different modes. They are called mini mode and fullscreen (or normal ) mode. The main difference between the two relates to how elements and filtering options are displayed.

Mini mode

When rhizosphere is used as a gadget or embedded in a webpage, mini mode is used to optimize the usage of the available screen estate. All the controls are hidden behind menu, filters are displayed one at a time and items are showing using a small rendering footprint ( if available ).

Fullscreen mode

On the contrary, fullscreen mode is used when enough screen estate is available, to display as many informations as possible. Single items contain more information and all the filters and other options are visible.

How to activate fullscreen mode

It depends where you are using Rhizosphere :
  • Inside Google spreadsheets : click the arrow icon on the top right corner of Gadget top bar and choose Move to own sheet...
  • Inside iGoogle : click the maximize icon in the top right corner of the Gaget top bar ( warning: this woks only in the new iGoogle layout, that supports Canvas mode)
  • as a Standalone Application : just resize the application window and reload it, or use the Maximize button which is in the lower right corner.
