Thank you to all of the FPS parents. I know having to switch the competition times and dates was not easy. I truly appreciate that you all were so flexible. I should be hearing results back about state competition by the end of the month. Anyone who wanted a copy of the oral competition it should be complete by next week. I will send them home with the students.
3rd: We have officially finished our amusement parks. Students will be bringing their amusement parks home at the beginning of the month if they have not come home yet. Ask them about their choices and why the made them the size they did. We will be starting are next unit on Critical Thinking skills this month.
4th: I want to thank everyone for getting supplies to school. If you have anything else that you can send in please feel free too. The students will first be learning energy. We will get into potential and kinetic energy. As your student what is the difference between the two and how we use them.
5th: The fifth graders are in bridge mode. We have watch a video on some of the most famous bridges in the world and how they were built. We will first choose our jobs and then get into the rules and regulations. The jobs the students need to choose from are project director, architect, carpenter, transportation chief, and accountant. Please discuss your students choice and anything you know about the five jobs with them. |
