Why rebuild it ?
When I built the original it was designed to have a beer can for the displacer, but it collapsed.
I replaced this with a coke can which is much shorter than the beer can, I had to make the displacer
really short to accommodate the longer stroke that I had set up. The displacer is only about 1/3rd of
the height of it's cylinder instead of the recommended 2/3rds.
The whole water tank is extremely rusty, it's only a matter of time before it becomes a sieve rather than
a water tank Sorry there's no details to go with the pictures yet, but I'll update it soon. Here's the original page of the Stirling generator.
