Epoxy resin paintings

series colors of the night

layers of epoxy resin were painted with acrylic colors and gel and ink pens
embossed metal and gems were added
mirrors and CD parts from behind the colors reflect the light and bring about prism effects.
you cannot see the light effects on the paintings in a photography. Only in real you see the reflections and the diffraction of the colors when you watch the paintings from different angles.

Correspondances by Charles Baudelaire

Laissent parfois sortir de confuses paroles;

— Charles Baudelaire

Correspondences

Nature is a temple in which living pillars
Sometimes give voice to confused words;
Man passes there through forests of symbols
Which look at him with understanding eyes.

Like prolonged echoes mingling in the distance
In a deep and tenebrous unity,
Vast as the dark of night and as the light of day,
Perfumes, sounds, and colors correspond.

There are perfumes as cool as the flesh of children,
Sweet as oboes, green as meadows
— And others are corrupt, and rich, triumphant,

With power to expand into infinity,
Like amber and incense, musk, benzoin,
That sing the ecstasy of the soul and senses.

— William Aggeler, The Flowers of Evil (Fresno, CA: Academy Library Guild, 1954)

Zusammenklang

 Nachtlied (nocturne) 10.5x8.5 in, sold

Nachtlied by Georg Trakl

Des Unbewegten Odem. Ein Tiergesicht
Erstarrt vor Bläue, ihrer Heiligkeit.
Gewaltig ist das Schweigen im Stein;

Die Maske eines nächtlichen Vogels. Sanfter Dreiklang
Verklingt in einem. Elai! dein Antlitz
Beugt sich sprachlos über bläuliche Wasser.

O! ihr stillen Spiegel der Wahrheit.
An des Einsamen elfenbeinerner Schläfe
Erscheint der Abglanz gefallener Engel.

Nocturne
The life-breath of the unmoved. The face of an animal
Is paralyzed with blueness, of her holiness.
Mighty is the silence in stone;

The mask of a nocturnal bird. Gentle triad
Dies away into one. Elai! your countenance
Bends speechless over bluish waters.

O! you silent mirrors of truth.
On the ivory temple of the lonely
Appears the reflection of fallen angels.

wings of the night, sold

Auf den Flügeln der Nacht

Auf den Flügeln der Nacht
reise ich
in die Magie des Loslassens
und werde
durch die Phantasie
an die Ufer der Leben getragen,
jenseits von dem Heute,
dem Jetzt, dem Irgendwo,
an denen sich eine Seele,
die das Tatsächliche
nicht mehr spüren möchte,
erholen kann.

on the wings of the night
I am traveling
into the magic of letting go
and I am carried by imagination
to the shores of the lives
beyond today,
now, somewhere

where a soul, that doesn`t want to be faced with reality anymore,
can recreate.
