Win Awards

When writing a resume or completing a college application the honors and awards section often remains blank for many teens.  Future Business Leaders of America offers multiple opportunities for you to earn individual and chapter awards.  Developing a plan early can mean the difference between achievement and wishful thinking.

Colleges and companies look for applicants that show a depth of achievement rather than a multitude of memberships.  Getting involved and earning multiple awards and recognitions in FBLA is a way to show that you are dedicated and desire to make a difference

How Can I Win Honors and Awards?

 Business Achievement Awards
The Business Achievement Awards (BAA) emphasize the FBLA Goals of promoting Service, Education, and Progress. The activities that you complete to earn these awards relate to your accomplishments in your business classes, your personal goals, and your participation in FBLA.

Through the Business Achievement Awards you can earn four separate awards with three being recognized at the state level and the final award being recognized at the National Awards Ceremony. All recipients of this award who attend the NLC will receive America ribbons and certificates of recognition.

To learn more, visit the FBLA National Website and ask your adviser to register you for the awards program.

 Competitive Events
With over 100 competitive events, FBLA offers something for everyone.  The competitive events recognize the top members in objective tests, interview events, technical events, skills events, written report events, and speaking/ performance events. Members can also earn cash awards for outstanding achievement in competitive events.

Competitive events fall into three categories: individual, team, and chapter. Individual and team events focus on skills useful in leadership and career development; chapter events recognize overall achievement and performance in chapter management and growth.

The first round of competition takes place at your school in December and January or at the Region 9 Leadership Conference held in January.  The written test events and computer skill events are completed at your school in the computer lab and the performance events take place at the Region 9 Conference.  All students that compete in regional competition may attend the Region 9 Leadership Conference and Awards Ceremony.

Students that win at the regional level qualify for State Competition in March.

 The PEACH Project

The PEACH Project helps prepare you for your future by exploring how the decisions you make today will affect your future.

PEACH stands for Policy, Environment, Action, Credit, and Health, which are the five primary components of this project. This project will include activities surrounding each of the five components.

For more information on the PEACH Project, see the attachments at the bottom of the page.  An overview of the project and the rating/points sheet provides ideas for individual and chapter achievement.
