Region 9 Fall Fun Day on the Farm!

On November 1, 2008 a Fall Fun Day on the Farm is scheduled for Region 9 FBLA Chapters.  The Fun Day will include a team competition through a corn maze, a bonfire, and a hayride at Cagle Dairy Farm in Canton, GA.  Schools will meet at the maze at 5:30 pm.  Maze teams will be timed between 5:30 and 7:00 pm with the top three teams winning prizes.  The hayrides will begin at 6:30 pm with meals and smores served at the bonfire.

Tickets may be purchased at the farm so teachers can collect the money ahead of time or have students pay at the event.  Advisers should coordinate this as a field trip and allow for one chaperone per 10 students. FBLA Members should wear their chapter or school t-shirt. The cost of the evening is as follows:  $10 for the maze, $7 for the hayride, $5 for the meal, and $1 for smores.  Discounts of $2 for combining the maze and hayride and a $2 coupon on-line reduce the price to $18 per student for the maze, hayride, and meal.

To learn more information, visit http://www.caglesdairy.com/maizeHickoryFlat.htm
Currently, this is not an official FBLA State Event, but a fun opportunity for students in the region to participate in a team and "networking" opportunity.  If you plan on attending, please e-mail Jill Olson with a student count by October 29 so the farm can prepare appropriate handouts and meals.
