The focus of research in our lab spans Quantitative Conservation Ecology and Ecological Risk Assessment. We apply population models, treatments of uncertainty and decision-making techniques to address conservation and wildlife management issues. Our research activities are broad and include: population viability analysis of endangered and threatened species; assessment of conservation management actions using models; analysis and treatment of uncertainty in ecology, conservation biology and risk assessment; decision making under uncertainty. We work on both plants and animals and at a range of ecological scales and levels of biological organization—from individuals to ecosystems, from patches to bioregions, and across interdisciplinary boundaries.
