With much regret the Committee of ISG decided that Spring 2011 was to be the last print issue of Refer to be mailed automatically to members. The reasons for this decision were of course financial. CILIP did NOT pay capitation to Groups in 2011, and no advertiser stepped forward to fill the financial void.
Therefore, from the Summer Autumn 2011 double issue of Refer, the journal has been published as a PDF and made available to members through the CILIP website. The publication of this and subsequent issues is announced through the ISG Electronic mailing which currently goes to around half of our members. So, to stay informed, log onto the CILIP website and choose to allow the ISG Electronic Mailing to be sent to you.... Print copies of Refer will continue to be sent to our subscribers (around 20 at present), to the UK Copyright Libraries, and to the indexing services such as LISA. Members can opt-in to be sent a print copy of the three 2012 issues by sending a cheque for £15 (made payable to ISG) to the Editor - don't forget to include your mailing address! Refer, the journal of the Information Services Group of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP), is published three times a year and distributed free (electronically) to members of the Group. Subscriptions rates in 2012 will be £30 in the UK, £40 Europe, and £50 Rest of the World. The publication schedule for 2012 is:
