Many of us have developed our own list of favourite and useful reference websites, found by chance  or search or personal interest. Many libraries have these on their websites for staff and public use.

There are updating services such as the Internet Resources Newsletter, Free Pint, and Librarians Internet Index.

Perhaps for ISG and Refer we can start sharing our own discoveries and favourites?  With this in mind, I offer a selection I personally like and use to start off (see the sub pages listed below).

I'm certain you have many more that I don't know about; I certainly do not claim any expertise (other than a reasonably good memory and a strong curiosity) – please send them in!
