Workshop with Moms of Children Dealing with Food Issues.

This exercise arises when, a group of mothers whose experience was similar because their kids had a difficult relationship with food. Some have been diagnosed as "overweight" and others were "under the average size" for their age.

They shared with me the extreme worry they were living in and how they felt unable to find a solution. Having consulted a series of experts on the subject confused them and now they showed feelings of not being competent mothers.
I called them to create a workshop where we could generate conversations where the group could look for a successful and own way to deal with the problem.

I share this to give voice to this group of peers, to promote how significant these conversations can be when they are aligned with the deconstruction of dominant stories that appear almost invisible and guide the way we live our life, and how through this narrative ideas the person gets back to his or her own capacity to generate responses in accordance with his or her wishes, values, intentions, etc.
I am also including a comic strip that we co-authored, with the idea of sharing the knowledge that arose during this workshop.
