Extreme Home Makeover: Redwood Village Edition Volunteers donated their time, talent, and possessions to help an elderly local area resident improve her home. Organized by the RVCC, the home owner had her home refurbished inside and out. The house was painted, and home furnishings, appliances and other goods were donated, delivered, and installed. Thanks to all our volunteers and sponsors we made a meaningful difference in one residents life. We would love to hear your reflections on the event and share some in the newsletter. The Redwood Village Community Water-Wise Garden Visit our water-wise garden installed at the corner of 58th and Day Street. On November of 2007 residents, Mark Twain High School Students, and Teen Challenge members came together to remove trash, clear weeds, dig holes, and install landscaping. The garden features two Palo Verde trees, a California Fan Palm, and several native plants. The whole project was funded by a grant from The Ken Blanchard Companies so no community money was used. The garden is now established and maintained by volunteers and has become a point of pride for area residents.
