| Disclaimer: I accept no responsibility for what you do to your game consoles, controllers, and/or accessories. Please look at the ratings and make sure you read the entire tutorial to evaluate whether you can accomplish it. Thanx. What you need to add leds to the nunchuck are listed below. 1.Triwing Screwdriver(a small flat head may also work) 2.Leds(in this tut I use 0603 leds) 3.30awg wire(other gauge wire may be substituted but 30 works the best) 4.Electircal Tape(preferrably black) 5.Soldering Iron and Solder 6.Helping Hands(optional) 1.First thing you need to do is take out the screws located on the underside with your triwing/flathead screwdriver.
.Next you need to gently open the case starting from the part here the wire is connected and you will need to pinch on the side near the z and c button and simultaneously lift the top off.
.Once the top is off it should look something like this. ![]() 4.Now you need to remove the board and the wire from the case.there are no screws to remove, all that is needed is a gentle pull on the board and the wire. Also remove the thumstick.
.Set the case aside and clap the board in your helping hands(alligator clip tool to hold small electronics) or set it on the table and identify the positive and the negative points on the board. There are two positive points and it doesn't matter which you use. ![]() 6.Now you need to get your soldered 0603 led and solder it to the two points mentioned above. Search for the 0603 Led tut if you don't know how to solder them.
.Place the board and the wire back into the bottom half of the case. The next step isn't absolutely neccessary but highly reccommended.8.Cut 4 squares about 1/4 of an inch and tape down the wire making sure to avoid the hole for the screw.
.Replace the thumbstick on the board. 10.Snap in the top part of the case by the thumbstick first. 11.Completely close the case and replace the screws. 12.Test and enjoy.
