Red Letter Students

Super Sunday Meal Schedule

Throughout the year Red Letter Student Ministries serves meals to our students and the primary volunteer staff comes from our parents.  Each week we need four families to help purchase, prepare, and serve our meals so check out the available dates!  Some of the dates have already been filled and some don't have anyone signed up yet.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question:  Who should we contact with questions about our meal?
Answer:     First contact should be with Kara Horm.  If Kara can not be reached you can contact Justin in the youth office.

Question:  Who coordinates our dinner?
Answer:     Hosting a meal is a team effort that will require members of the hosting team to communicate with each other.  It usually works best if one of the hosts takes the
                 responsibility of leading the effort.

Question:   Do I need to provide paper products like napkins, plates, and cups?
Answer:     No, all paper products are provided by the church and are in the kitchen or storage closet in the FLC.

Question:   Do I need to provide drinks?
Answer:     The youth often have a supply of Tea, Gatorade, or Lemonade leftover from events.  Please check with Justin or Kara for inventory.  If the youth are out then
drinks will need to be provided.

Question:   Do we need to tear down and set up tables?
Answer:     Yes there will be times when tables will need to be set up.  The youth always tear down the tables.

Question:  How do I know what to serve?
Answer:     The list located below shows what meal is being served for that Sunday.  How you serve it is up to you.  If you need further instructions on how to prepare a meal
                 Kara Horm.

Question:   How many people are usually served at a meal?
Answer:      Average attendance at a youth gathering including leaders is around 50 so plan on that number.

Tips for preparing a Super Sunday Meal

1.  Prepare what you can at home and take it to the church.  Being unfamiliar with the kitchen can be time consuming.  If you plan to use the kitchen please allot enough time to prepare everything.
2.  Two-three small bags of ice for drinks are usually needed.
3.  A good time to start setting up for the 6:00 PM meal is 4:30 PM.
4.  Be proactive and contact the other members of your hosting team a week in advance.
