Welcome
Hello and welcome to Red Letter
Student Ministries. We are the student ministry of Aldersgate Church
in Mechanicsburg, PA. The Idea behind Red Letter Student Ministries is simple; open
up just about any Bible and go to the red letters, there you will find
the words of Jesus. Our Mission is to develop students into passionate
followers of Jesus Christ who take up their crosses and reach out to the
world.
Red Letter Student Ministries exists to demonstrate God's love, to develop
passionate, devoted followers of Christ, to glorify God with our lives
through acts of service, and to promote intimate relationships among
other believers.
We meet every Sunday evening from 6:00 - 8:30 pm at our facility in
Mechanicsburg. On a typical night you will find us engaging in group
activities, a short lesson, small groups and student led worship. So
come out and join us on a Sunday night or check out our calendar for
another one of our youth events. You won't be disappointed!
This Year we are beginning the LIVE curriculum by Simply Youth Ministry and our theme is "GROUNDWORK." You won't want to miss a single session so bring your Bible and a friend every week and get ready to get back to the basics of faith!
What's Up This Week...
Wednesday November 11th:
What's Up Wednesday Youth Discussion Group from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. Come join us as we dive into session 6 of "Do Hard Things."
Saturday November 14th:
Service project at Mission Central. Please RSVP if you are coming. Meet at the church at 12:30 PM and return at 3:30.
Sunday November 15th:
Youth Gathering from 6:00 - 8:30 PM( No Meal served this week). The lesson this week is "The Law: Then." (Praise team please report at 4:30).
Wednesday November 18th:
What's Up Wednesday Youth Discussion Group from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. Come join us as we dive into session 7 of "Do Hard Things."
Important Updates and Info...
The Cookie walk fund raiser is scheduled for Sunday December 13th. In keeping with our covenant of community in our fund raising this year we are asking all students in the youth group to bake 5 dozen cookies. Cookies can be dropped off on December 12th from 10 am to 2 pm.
We're going to see Toby Mac and Relient K on Thursday November 19th at the Bryce Jordan Center. Tickets are 28 dollars and the money is due NOW!
The Middle School class is engaged in the Grapple curriculum for teens and meets every Sunday at 9:30 in the youth room. Hope to see you!
The High School Sunday School class is currently engaged in the Nooma series by Rob Bell so come out and join on Sunday's at 9:30 AM! We meet in room 203.
Our What's Up Wednesday discussion group is working the book, Do Hard Things by Alex and Brett Harris. Two teenagers who have decided to forge a rebellion against low expectations for today's teens. We meet at 6:30 every Wednesday in the youth room so come out and join us!
