About Sangha Workgroups site

This shared website is using the "Google Sites" technology which is free and ad free. These pages can be edited pretty easily after an
initial setup with your account by any member of the Website & Technology Workgroup.  Below you will find the information and standards
you need to use the Red Cedar Zen Workgroups site effectively.  (There are additional capabilities but these have complication and potential to cause problems. However, if your workgroup is comfortable in using them, feel free.)
  • Why Sangha Site on Google Sites?
  • How to login
  • How to edit your Workgroup page
  • How to receive notification of changes to your Workgroup page
  • How to add a comment to your Workgroup or all Workgroups.
  • The Google Sites page types and how you can use them.
  • How to link to and create a new page all in one step
  • Another way to create a new webpage, list page, or announcement page
  • How to create a link to an existing page
  • More to come......

Note:  We would like to keep the currently implemented standard headings for individual Workgroups; please feel free to subdivide/sublink them as you need.

Test of a comment. You have to be logged in as a collaborator to add comments it looks like.

What do you think about having a main page for people to ask questions and make comments that are not necessarily connected to one of the up and running workgroups? As you look at the way this site is organized, can we have an overall sangha forum where threads can be started and followed up on?

Great idea. A "general sangha work" forum....

We must design the main page to be very user friendly....not too busy, or too complicated to use. This whole system seems fairly simple to use....so far.

Barbara, The main Workgroup home can be used to ask questions and make comments, since we all start there and can check the comments. However, only members that are signed on as collaborators can add a comment. We would have to direct non collaborators to our other website for posting questions, or members could leave their email behind their name for people to call. I will be leaving my email for folks who need help with the site.
