Portal signatures, also known as generic signatures allow you to place a signature block on an agreement that can be signed by anyone. Using portal signatures in documents create self-recipient templates and although they can't be combined with placeholder signatures, you can place normal signatures. Portal signatures appear as genericsignature1 in the edit email panel. Unlike placeholder signatures, genericsignature1 cannot be replaced with an email address and must remain as genericsignature1. Once you have saved a self-recipient template, the system will email you a link to the agreement that you can send to other people or post on your website. A great example of using self-recipient templates are new hire forms. Instead of having to send all the agreements each time someone is hired, you can create self-recipient templates and post all the links on your company website for new hires to access. |
