Sometimes sensitive data needs to be collected that requires restricted viewing access. Secure fields allow you to control who can see that information by requiring an additional login. Secure
fields don’t actually store the information in the agreement itself. Instead it
is stored in a secure database that requires an extra level of access to
retrieve any information. When an agreement with secure fields is opened, the
fields appear orange with stars in them. To see the data that was entered, you
must enter in your username and password again. Every attempt whether
successful or not is logged for easy auditing. Creating Secure Fields
Any field available in Agreement Express can be made secure. To make a field secure, select it and click the wrench either in the corner of the field or in the lower-right corner of the toolbar. On the field properties window that appears, check the box for secure and click on Save. You can also make multiple fields secure at once by clicking and dragging over all the fields to open the multi-field properties window. You will not notice any change to the field immediately but once the agreement is published, the field will turn orange. The signer will be able to see what they have entered until they have finished signing. The data will then be moved into the separate database and the field will be masked like a password field. Viewing Secure Fields
To view data in a secure field, click on the field. A window will appear asking you to re-enter your login details. Enter in your Agreement Express login and click on ok. If you are authorized, the data in all secure fields on the agreement will be revealed. By default, secure fields are masked when an agreement is saved to PDF. You can also have authorized users print agreements with all fields revealed after they have unlocked the secure fields. To have this feature enabled, please contact Recombo Support. Assigning AccessTo allow a user to view secure fields go to Manager Users, select them from the list and click on ![]() ![]() |
