This is a file page for the Cedar Rapids Recreational Airsoft Group. The Guidelines details the rules of play and conduct that players agree to follow at events. A completed waiver is required from each player for each event. Event info is located on Facebook in the Recreational Airsoft - Cedar Rapids Group Game days: >2nd Saturday of each month from 1 PM to 4 PM, or by special announcement. >Special Announcements are given for time changes, additional game days, etc. These are sent from the Facebook page or to those who have asked to be on the email list. This
group is open to anyone who wants to participate in a fun and exciting
activity. Lots of fathers & sons
& their friends having fun. A
typical event has around 20 players.
Ages start at about 13, and go up.
Most participants have been male, but not all. All participants must sign a liability
waiver, & must acknowledge understanding of the rules before play. Minors must have a guardian sign with
them. Minors under the age of 13 must be
accompanied by a Parent or Guardian. This group is made up of recreational level players. Safety equipment is required, specifically eye protection. Participants provide their own safety equipment, gear & ammo. Airsoft is similar to Paintball, with a lot less expense! In Airsoft, a player is 'out' when they get tagged by another player's BB. Common games include Team Elimination, Capture the Flag, or VIP. For the video game generation, Airsoft is similar to an XBox Live 'Call of Duty' type game, but actually live!
