I took an MFA from the Bennington Writing Seminars and received their Jane Kenyon Poetry Prize. Over forty literary journals have published my work. I edit CNF for AmarilloBay.org, an online journal. Send me something good! I love finding a prize in the cereal box, a.k.a. inbox. I love teaching my students at Tarrant County College where I help them thrive in the worlds of writing and literature. They research rites of passage around the world, then write their own; they analyze characters and design tattoos for them; they write original poems and stories. My hope is that they experience the power of language and learn how to wield it wisely. Extras: I have skydived once, biked 1300 miles while pregnant, owned a hybrid electric car, and nursed twins.
