This is the second year of the Northern District Summer TT Series
In 2009 some 28 different skippers competed in at least one days racing
The idea is to give local skippers the opportunity to compete at a venue they do not consider to be 'home'
Different clubs have their own ideas as to what makes a good  Open Meeting, and it does no harm to look at anothers way of doing things.
In 2009, Bury provided all competitors with a locally made Black Pudding. Very nice it was too
The heading on the home page states 'An Open meeting is just a Club race at someone else's Club' and with the RC laser, we are such a nice bunch ( !!! ) that newcomers are always made very welcome
The Series is once again organised by  www.rclasers.com  who incidentally do not make anything from the series
It is again on the first weekend of the month and this year begins at Delph on a Saturday. Most of the events tend to be Sundays, so check carefully
Keep an eye on the July/August/September dates; these are a bit dependant on the tides at Southport. Not that we sail on the tide but WLYC does, so we have to get the days right so we can use their clubhouse.

The ND Championship is not a part of the Summer Series, so the prize giving will be after the last event. This does tend to be at Preston Dock.
It is intended that the best 3 event scores will count. In the event of a shortened series then a decision will be taken after the non sailed event
Sailing Instructions as per the Winter Series will apply
