Ravi Foundation

Envisioned to empower the vulnerable groups of the society including, women, children, labor, religious minorities and ensure the rights of animals in Pakistan. Enabling the groups to achieve Millennium Development Goals of the United Nations.


Ravi aims to equip the target groups through transformation of knowledge, skills, concepts, competences and building the capacity to work with rights based approach. Peace through inter-religious dialogue, creative art and improved relation with neighboring countries through  cultural exchange programs. Ravi Foundation uses the international days on different issues are great source to give youth, women and other target groups a chance to get them learned and organize to resolve their issues.

It aims to to educate children and youth to promote peace, tolerance and harmony in their day to day life. They are encouraged to become part of peace promotion activities such as marking international days of peace, tolerance, children etc.

The youth leaders are trained to be mediators, peacemakers to resolve the conflicts of the children in schools and children/youth clubs. The children involved in peace building encouraged to interact with children/youth from India and USA. Tele-peace conferences over the internet and telephones are conducted.

Women groups are formed. The women the most vulnerable suffer within the family, society and state are encouraged to know about their rights and jointly raise their voice against oppression. violence and discrimination in the law and society. 

Religious minorities being considered the most affected segment of the society is far behind the development and progress made in the society. Special initiatives like helping their children to get education and skills for their livelihood. Whenever religious minorities are discriminated or persecuted for their faith. There are cases are documented and national and international groups to contacted to help or raise voice against the violation of their rights in Pakistan. National issues of minorities are also raised to the political parties and government.
Sexual minority groups in Pakistan have requested to work for their rights in Pakistan. The groups in three cities are to be formed to make them active part of the society.

Labor rights campaign is made known among the stakeholders including, bricklin/bonded laborer, Shoe makers, sanitary workers and other trade unions etc.

Animal rights programs have been organized with stakeholders. Working animals rights campaign is be launched. Wild pigs species is endanger. " A program, Steps towards animal friendly society in Pakistan" is still  need attention to the animal groups to be supported to make a model for the society in Pakistan. Cruelty and violence against animals need to be stopped.

Peace Education Program and networking with USA and world groups.

Peace education program are organized with school students of St. Peter's High School, Toba Tek Singh and the youth groups in the city. There are more than 25 public and private high schools of girls and boys. The kind education is being given to them in schools promote stimulation of wars, stereotypes against women, children and religious minorities.  The peace programs of Ravi Foundation are as below:

  • Students at St. Peter's are committed to make their classrooms and schools a peaceful school. A group of young people and teachers have been trained to resolve students conflicts with win-win end. If students come across a conflict their they are come to the room called Conflict Resolution room. This room has a while color table containing different peace symbols. When the two parties of individuals are resolved the conflict. As sign of peace they light candles and shake hands with each. Once in a week they have a special called peace period in which they share their day to day life experience when they contributed to peace in the family and society.
  • Networking with different groups across the country and world. The youth trained by Ravi Foundation involve in a program called Peace Pal from New Mexico. The young boys and girls from USA have their friends in Pakistan. They both right letters to each other.
  • World Peace Prayer Society's teleconference are attended.
  • Association for Communal Harmony in Asia ( An Oregon, USA based organization)  marks 40 days of South Asian Peace Days. For the last two years this has been observed.
  • The youth and other leaders of Ravi Foundation Pakistan have been involved in Indian-Pakistan peace activities. 
USA Peace Movements and Activists inspire Pakistanis.
In the year 2008 seven USA peace activists visited Ravi Foundation's work for peace in the city of Toba Tek Singh. They witnessed the peace programs of Ravi and share new ideas to further enhance the peace work.
In the year 2008 art and speech contest was organized among 8 schools of the city.

The future program an challenge:

The peace programs for children, youth and women need to have on regular basis in other schools and colleges. The new partners around the globe are needed to be connected with us to enhance or partnered for future programs.

Ravi Foundation Location and Legal status:

Ravi Foundation  is situated in the city of Toba Tek Singh central Pakistan. It is registered with the government of Pakistan under societies and charity and non-profit organizations act  of  x x x 1860 by the -registrar Stock Exchange Companies.,Toba Tek Singh. It is mandatory to work all over Pakistan to educate messes on different issues.
