Funny name.
What on earth does it mean?

RAPSU, standing for Retired Associates of Portland State University, is a group of seniors who continue to have a zest for living and learning. You do not need to have any previous association with PSU to join.

Imagine attending a recital by the lead cellist of the Oregon Symphony. How about students from the university's famed music department enacting a portion of their current offering? Or a geology professor telling us about this amazing state in which we live and play? Artists, political leaders, radio and television personalities from throughout the community share their knowledge.

Regular meetings of the Association are held on the the 1st and 2nd Thursdays of October, November, [2nd & 3rd Thursdays in November 2011] and January through May.  There are no scheduled meetings in December, June, July and August. There is only one meeting in September which is announced in the September Newsletter. The first Thursday of December and the first Thursday of June are no-host luncheon meetings.    Changes of meeting dates are announced in the newsletter. The meetings are held on campus in the Cascade Room (Room 236) Smith Memorial Student Union, 1825 SW Broadway.

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU. Come be our guest. There is a social gathering with cookies and coffee at 12:30 PM.  Announcements are made from 12:50 to 1:00 PM. The presentations from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM include topics of current interest by PSU and other faculty, community leaders, artists and performers and national and international speakers and researchers. Visitors are always welcome.
