Here is a suggested list of things you should consider bringing to Rancho La Scherpa. This is a generic list only. Certain groups may require specialized clothing or equipment based on the groups planned activities. Check with your group leader prior to leaving for camp. Insect repellent is suggested for summer and fall months. Select a product that has a high percentage of deet for most effectiveness. Rancho La Scherpa is a place of spectacular beauty. The scenery is breathtaking and the wildlife is abundant. Don't forget your camera. The camp organizes photography contests for the groups that are interested in participating. Guests download their pictures to a camp computer and a multi-media show wraps up the final evening. Prizes are awarded to the best pictures. You don't have to be an experienced photographer to win. Just be in the right place . . . at the right time . . . and you might have a winning picture. Do plan on bringing approximately $25 to spend at the camp store for snacks, drinks, toiletry items, insect repellent, sunscreen, and other small items. If you plan on purchasing camp shirts, hats or posters, you will need additional money. The camp store is open at designated times only, usually immediately following meals.
