SpellingSpelling City: this is a web site to help you practice your spelling words. Each week, you should be studying your spelling words. We will discuss the phonograms in each word and the spelling rules that are used. On Friday, we will have a test of the 14 words, plus one new word that follows a rule or pattern that was discussed in class. We will also complete a sentence dictation that will include words from previous weeks. Spelling lists will be available on this site each week. They are good practice for the kinds of questions that will be on the CRT assessments at the end of the year. Most of the tests have 10 multiple choice questions. To access the tests, click on this UTIPS link. Then select the test you want to complete, find your name and begin the test. When you are finished click on the "Submit" button. I will be able to see which students have taken the test and how they did on each one. We will start taking this tests a little bit later in the year. | Math Homework
Term ProjectsEach term you will complete a project for your homework. The projects are a fun way to engage in the curriculum. Each project contains writing, math, and other standards from the Utah Core. Project descriptions and requirements will be added to this page as they are assigned in class. For the first term project, students will be creating a monster, writing a description of their monster, and creating a map of their monster's neighborhood. Click here for the project packet. The project is due on October 25. |
