Want to ride with us?

Review our ride calendar to see what’s happening. We will have many rides going each week and should have a place for you. If not, make a suggestion or become a ride leader yourself!

Anyone can ride with Ramsey Cycling Club
We want your riding experience to be a good one. We will do our best to publish and hold rides that will be safe, well executed and the ride intent clearly defined at the start. No riders get dropped and all riders are welcome to participate. While we would like to have you join our club and support Ramsey Bicycle, you can certainly share in our rides.

Our expectations of you are:
  • You bring a bike appropriate for the ride
  • You come prepared and with well maintained equipment
  • You come prepared for basic emergencies, tube, patches, pump, multi-tool, tire levers, etc.
  • You wear an approved helmet
  • You cover your basic needs of water, energy drink and food
  • You ride in the format the ride leader defines
  • You obey the rules of the road
  • You represent the sport of cycling well
  • You properly select rides form the calendar of the right skill and fitness level you can handle
Ride Levels
Ride levels will be defined in the RCC ride calendar by the leader of the ride. We want you to know up front the goal of the ride. Also, prior to the ride the ride leader will review the expectations with you before leaving the start point.

A Level Ride =
  • Fastest ride - Race level and fast recreational riders
  • Long Slow Distance (LSD) ride average speed of 20+ mph
  • Advanced Interval Rides hitting 25-35 mph
  • Sprints and challenging terrain involved

B Level Ride =
  • Moderate ride - Entry Racer and recreational riders
  • Long Slow Distance (LSD) ride average speed of 16+ mph
  • Basic Interval rides hitting 20-25 mph

C Level Ride =
  • Slowest Rides - Fitness and Social riders
  • Long Slow Distance (LSD) ride average speed of 12+ mph
  • No intervals planned

Blended Level rides =


Blended rides are possible as well to fill gaps between skill levels and allow for advancement.
  • A/B rides can help you get to the race or high level performance you desire
  • B/C rides can help you stretch your legs to longer distances to prepare you for longer public rides exceeding 40 miles in length
  • A/B/C rides can happen for club wide rides or club social events. Pace is set to the lowest ride level.
