Richard A. Lazenby, PhD
Biological & Forensic Anthropology
|
Welcome! This page and those linked to it will give you a brief introduction to my interests and activities in the discipline over the past 29 years or so, as a Canadian-born, bred and trained biological anthropologist. I see myself mainly as a skeletal biologist, albeit with a broad perspective, as my work has encompassed bone histology, physiology, comparative functional morphology, pathology, theoretical modelling, applied forensic analyses and most recently paleoanthropology (see Recent Publications and links therein). I have been fortunate to have been trained by, and worked with, some of the best minds in our field, both at Simon Fraser University with Dr. Mark Skinner, McMaster University with Dr. Shelley Saunders and the University of Guelph with Dr. Susan Pfeiffer (now at the University of Toronto). Along the way, many more colleagues, mentors and students, inside and outside of Canada, have made my career in biological anthropology a most rewarding one. Thanks for your visit. |
Recent Publications will take you to a selection of relevant publications in the area of asymmetry, handedness and 3D imaging. Some of my work in the areas of human biology and forensic anthropology will be added at a later date. Additional pages highlighting teaching are forthcoming. Contact: |
