Rakowana Archers 2009 Calendar (updated November 8, 2009) November 10 Monthly meeting at the New Salem Senior Center
The meeting came to order at 7:20 PM at the New Salem site.
There were no corrections to the September Minutes.
Old Business:
The Fun Shoot in September we had 34 archers.
We wish to thank all who brought a dish to share at the shoot to supplement
the Hot Dogs and Hamburgers provided by the Club. In planning for next year's Fun Shoot it was suggested:
Registration be limited to 40 places: 36 adult and 4 children.
People will have their registrations returned once that number is reached
Advanced Registration will be required
A late fee be charged for anyone who shows up on the day of the shoot, if there is still space available.
Registration materials will make the above clear.
New Business: If you have service hours at the Club please contact Tom
with your accounting. Do not forget that all service hours
count,e.g. Cooking for the Pot Luck in the Spring or the shoots or
Distributing info to archery shops. Whatever you did for the benefit of the
club should be sent to the Secretary so an accurate record can be had and
penalty fees not applied .
The club approved the repair work to shed mentioned in the September
minutes, namely repairing the back wall with studs and siding and the floor.
Mike estimated the cost of repairs to be about $150.00
The Club also approved the purchase of materials to repair the targets. This
was last done in 2006.
A winter Charity Shoot was discussed with the money going to The Center for
Disability Services. The Shoot will be indoors at the west Albany R&G Chub
Shed It will probably be over two days with lines shooting for example at
9,11 and 1PM on Saturday and 1 and 5PM Sunday. Details will be finalized at
the November 10th Meeting at New Salem Historical Society. Please forward
your suggestions to Ed, Mike,Sheldon or Tom for consideration at the
November meeting.

work has been completed on the mower and it is in fine running

their time in diagnosing electrical malfunctions and tracing them
down to completion. So, if you wish to mow, please have at it. There
is plenty to be done! NEW TARGET CENTERS-
Discussion on condition of foam target center condition. Inventory
will be taken and pricing to be looked into. LEMME’S-

annual 600 round and fun shoot is to take place on Sat. Sept. 26
starting at 9:30 sharp. ARROW NETTING-
Sheldon has asked to borrow the net for an SCA event to be held on
Labor Day weekend. As in the past we have extended this loan to that
group. GUESTS-The
fee for guests shooting at the club is still $2. Guests should also
sign in on the register so that they are accounted for on any given
day. SIGN IN-The sign in

work done at the club that will go toward the five (5) hour
contribution. The first thing you should do
when you get out of your car is sign the register. We have very few
rules to follow and I for one have a hard time understanding why some
people can’t do that. Just do it please! Meeting adjourned at 7:55
