The Rakowana Archers is a family oriented archery club. It is one of the oldest, not for profit, archery clubs in the Capital District of New York, and has been in existence for over 30 years. We count among our members men, women and children. We welcome all types of archers, compound, recurve and longbow.

We offer both formal and informal competition as well as spontaneous archery at your leisure. We have competitors and non competitors, fun shooters and hunters. Club members, men and women, have placed highly in events such as the Empire State Games, State Outdoors and Indoor Championship and Senior Games as well as numerous regional events.


We have supplied competitors for the Adirondack Region Empire State Games for the past 5 years in all categories, youth, men and women. We are affiliated with the NAA and the Albany County Conservation Alliance.


Our facilities include a 90 meter groomed flat field course for practice & Olympic style recurve events.


Club meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of the month.
