Skees

Mrs. Skees - 4 year olds
May/June Highlights 2012

Although we are nearing the end of the year, we continue to be busy with many activities.  We will be planting seeds and watching their growth. Be sure to checkout the live caterpillars on our science table.

Community Helpers will be our next unit. We will be learning about the jobs people have and how they help us. We would like to invite any parent to come in and talk to the children about their job at this time. In the past we have had a carpenter, dental hygienist, physical therapist and turnpike authority worker to name a few. They have come to visit to share their “work” with the class. This would be a 10-minute circle time talk with the class, so it is not something long and involved. If you would like to do this, please see me. The children are very interested in what “big” people do!

In conjunction with our community helpers unit we will be visiting Valley Hospital on May 7th. Please return your permission slip. We will be walking to the Waldwick Police Department on May 10th

Another unit on dinosaurs will take us back in time! We will be learning about the different dinosaur names as well as how paleontologists learned about them by studying their bones.
