  • Txt 4.0 Now Available! Amazing New Features!
  • Radtech announces a host of new projects: although no further information is available, here is the codenames of some upcoming programs:
  •  Xenon
  • Echelon
  • Gravity:

Gravity is the codename for a future version of the Txt editor, which is also known as Txt 4.1. Gravity will include many new features, including the SmartPage designer, HTML tags, bullets, and a new user interface. Look out for it soon!

Txt 4.0 Now Available!

Txt is Radtech's text editor that aims to service the gap between Microsoft's Notepad and Wordpad. The ultimate aim of Txt is to allow users a simplistic text environment to acomplish a range of tasks: i.e. regular text editing to programming tasks with syntax highlighting.

Version 4.0 is now available for download. Txt4-Feb08.zip

Txt 4.0.0.0 (latest stable release) features:

  • "Document Properties" has been improved with a nifty little toolbar (click Edit -> Document Properties)
  • There's a feature to find the first word searched for
  • An improved interface
  • A getting started page (from the Help menu)
  • Ability to import MXit saved messages (.mxm) using an easy wizard
  • Character-count
  • 2 Modes: Developer (which offers HTML editing) and Notepad, which mimicks the MS Notepade program - feel right at home! ;) 

Once you've installed Txt on your machine, please view the "Welcome to Txt 4!".rtx file (located in the folder with the setup files). This welcome file can be opened in Txt.

System Requirements:

  • Microsoft Windows XP (with Service Pack 2) or Vista
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (the installer detects whether you have this or not. If you don't, then it will download and install it for you)
  • At least 512MB RAM
  • At least 1GB space on your harddrive
