Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer at the

CAL Center!

You can see the show for free
AND earn community service credit towards your graduation requirement!

See Ms. Moroder to sign up!

Volunteer Jobs

The following jobs are needed for every show (check the calendar below for openings):
  • Two video camera operators
  • Two ushers
Additional opportunities may be available for sound/light tech, cleaning days, etcetera.

Volunteer Expectations

Volunteers are expected to adhere by the following guidelines:
  • Dress up and dress appropriately. No shorts, sandals, bare shoulders, cleavage, or tight clothing. Preferred dress is nice black slacks / skirt and collared white dress shirt.
  • Arrive at least a half hour before the show starts and stay until you are no longer needed by the Technician (Ms. Moroder or a Technician Assistant) or CAL Center Coordinator (Mr. Klang). Ushers are often needed to help clean the isles after a show.
  • Be helpful and focused the entire time you are there. Keep your phone in your pocket and do bring friends along unless they are also signed up to volunteer.
  • If you are no longer able to volunteer on a date you signed up for, please alert Ms. Moroder at least 24 hours in advance. With the exception of emergencies, failing to show up for a date you originally signed up for will negatively impact your future opportunities with the CAL Center. (A work schedule is not an emergency- if you are planning on volunteering, please make sure you have requested off of work for those dates).
