Radio Somalia news editorial.

The importance to guarantee freedom from the harassment of summery detention without charge for Journalists and Political Parties in Puntland.

Now anyone can register a political party in Puntland.

What is needed now is for the Puntland President to welcome back all the people who had to flee Puntland so if anyone knows the President of Puntland please ask him to welcome the journalists and other people who had to flee because they were arrested without charge and warned of more severe consequences the next time they are arrested.

To show that Puntland is back to normal and that no one will be threatened I ask someone in Puntland to please ask the President to welcome back those that fled during the time he has been in office with a guarantee that no one will be arrested or harassed and that returning journalists can do their job in the same way journalists do their job in every other democratic country of the world.

It is now very important that the work of journalists and the work of political parties be allowed to begin in an atmosphere of freedom to work without the threat of summery detention without charge which existed before in Puntland.

Peace be on Puntland Insha’Allah.

9 July 2012 (1433 AH).

Women in Islam.

Murshidas.

Women Muslim Spiritual Guides (Murshidas, Mourchidate).

Female Muslim Guides (Murshidas, Mourchidate).

Female Muslim Preachers (Murshidas, Mourchidate).

The Moroccan Ministry of Islamic Affairs established a training school where 200 women have graduated as Murshidas (Female Muslim Guides, Female Muslim Preachers, Women Muslim Spiritual Guides, Mourchidate).

The Murshidas (Mourchidate) is a female (religious counsellor, religious guide, spiritual guide).

Murshidas (Mourchidate) means guide or counsellor.

Female Muslim Guides (Murshidas) regularly meet with women and children in Mosques, schools and prisons.

As well as helping answer religious questions the Women Muslim Guides (Murshidas) have also been trained to help answer questions about any problem such as family life, children’s problems and community life.

Female Muslim Guides (Murshidas) are trained for one year in Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Greek philosophy, Psychology and how to help guide people to solve their problems, everything from alcohol to AIDs.

Women love going to the Mosque because they say the Female Muslim Guides (Murshidas) always talk with a smile about anything.

Women say it is not easy to talk with male preachers because their face is very serious like a judge.

Women Muslim Spiritual Guides have also been very popular with women in prison and with children in care centres and schools.

The Female Muslim Preachers are helping to restore the rightful place of women in Islam.

The Inspiration for Female Muslim Guides (Murshidas) comes from the examples of strong women such as Khadija and Aisha who are two of the strong wives of Prophet Muhammad.

The Female Muslim Preachers perform most of what is done by the male Imams, except for the Friday sermon in mosques which is done by men only.

Peace be on Morocco Insha’Allah.

Palestine Israel Peace Process.

The question is how to avoid a disruption to the Palestine Israel Peace Process as a result of the resumption of the building of Israel settlements on Palestinian land.

The Israel Government cannot stop the building of Israel settlements because its partners in Government would leave causing the Israel Government to collapse, new elections for a new Israeli Government and that could cause a delay in the current Palestine Israel negations.

One idea is for the Government of Israel to show the Palestinian people that it is serious about continuing the peace process by offering to try to complete the negotiations sooner than originally agreed say within 9 months instead of within 1 year by shortening the time between official meetings so they are held weekly.

Peace be in Palestine Insha’Allah and peace be in Israel Insha’Allah.

USA, Puntland and Somaliland.

USA Government to give development aid directly to the Puntland Government and Somaliland Government.

Radio Somalia Somaliland congratulates the USA Government decision to directly give government to government development aid to the Puntland Government and Somaliland Government.

Radio Somalia Somaliland encourages every country in the world to follow the example of the USA Government because never has help for Puntland and Somaliland been more urgent that now.

26 September 2010.

Making the Puntland Government accountable to the people of Puntland.

The USA Government and other Governments can help to make their Puntland Government aid more accountable to the people of Puntland by helping the Puntland Government in the development of:

1. The election system, by introducing one vote for each citizen in Puntland.

The Puntland Government should be encouraged to follow the example of the Somaliland Government and give every citizen of Puntland the vote in general elections.

The people’s ability to vote for their own Government can help make sure that there is no development towards a small number of people holding political power through corrupt practices that can arise when large amounts of money suddenly appears and only a small number of people are allowed to vote in elections that decide the government.

The current Puntland political system where a small number of people vote to decide who shall become the Government of Puntland has worked very well to this time however with the large amounts of funds expected it is important to move to a more normal democratic system of elections for the future where every citizen of Puntland has one vote in elections.

One vote for every citizen in elections is successful in Somaliland which has the same security, political and economic conditions as Puntland.

If voting is put in the hand of every citizen of Puntland then this shall prevent a rise in corruption that can result from the development aid that is now urgently needed in Puntland, by effecting the small number who currently have the right to vote at elections that decide who shall form the next Government in Puntland.

This would also be an important development towards the time of a future election for a national Somalia Government (currently the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia) which also is currently not elected by the process of one vote by every citizen of Somalia.

2. Human rights training and proper conduct training to the members of the Puntland security service, Puntland police service, Puntland prison service, Puntland military service and all other government department personnel and government service staff. This is part of the training given to all Government employees overseas and should now be included across all parts of the Puntland Government so as to better respect and serve the people.

3. A return to the freedom of the press that existed from 1993 to 2009 in North Somalia Puntland so as to stop the ability and desire of the Puntland Government to arrest professional Puntland journalists.

Some of these journalist have worked in Puntland since 1993 (known as North East Somalia at that time) but it is only from 2009 - 2010 that several of them fled from Puntland because of Puntland Government repeated arrests and detention without trial and threats to their life because they reported on issues such as the harsh treatment given to internally displaced refugees when the Government could not find those responsible for terrorism.

Some of these Puntland journalists are now overseas and have been recognized as refugees by the United Nations UNHCR because of the well documented situation faced by journalists in Puntland in the year 2009 - 2010.

Since 1993 Journalists have been free to report the truth of what happened in North Somalia Puntland so that from 1993 – 2009 no North Somalia or Puntland journalist is known to have fled for his life because of any government threat as a result of his journalism work until 2009 - 2010.

No Government should be allowed to feel it has any right to silence the voice of its own people such as its journalists who are the bravest people in Somalia and where many have died because they refused to remain silent under threats that have taken many of their lives.

Every government must see itself as serving the people and not threatening its own people.

The professional journalist uncovers problems which are faced by the weakest of the people such as the refugee whom no one else has time for.

Now in Somalia there is a “rain of terror” similar to what existed in NAZI Germany in the 1940’s in Europe when any person who said something against what was happening to innocent refugees and innocent citizens suddenly and quickly “disappeared”.

Government attacks on journalists must not be allowed in Puntland (or Somaliland) because the overseas donors have the power to educate the Governments that they shall now be directly helping.

Governments work for the people and that is the same as the job of the journalists.

The only ones who attack journalists are the people that don’t care about other people.

The ones who attack journalists only care about themselves and power for themselves.

The journalist is not in politics and so he or she is happy to listen to everyone and that is why every democratic society has freedom for journalists.

The President of a democracy and a policeman in a democracy do not touch professional journalists because in a democratic society every person is equal (unless the law is broken) because every person has one vote in elections and every person is free to meet a professional journalist and tell his or her story.

That is the freedom of the press and the life in a democracy.

The freedom of the press is more precious than gold when a citizen has a problem and no one else is interested to listen.

The professional journalist listens to you for free and investigates what you say at no expense to you and reports and he makes corrections if he or she found a mistake in their report. That is their job. No one else in society does such a job or performs such a community service.

When there are no journalist left or no press freedom then the weakest people in society are truly alone with their problems and no one knows when they might be that weakest person who might only be able to trust a professional journalist with what are often very serious problems that no one else wants to known about or are afraid to known.

4. A Puntland Government ombudsman with offices in each town where people can submit complaints for investigation against Government employees, security service, police, prison, military and all other government agencies. This is a public service to help individuals, families, businesses and the community to solve problems that are caused by the Government. There should be regularly radio announcements to let the general public know how the Puntland Government ombudsman can help them. This is a free service offered by Governments overseas and should now be available to the people of Puntland.

5. A Puntland Community ombudsman with offices in each town where people with problems can agree between themselves to request a free and not compulsory arbitration (free suggested judgement or free suggested opinion) instead of using the justice system. This is a public service to help individuals, families, businesses and the community to solve little problems before they become big problems. There should be regularly radio announcements to let the general public know how the Puntland Community ombudsman can help them. This is a free service offered by Governments overseas and should now be available to the people of Puntland.

Those are some ideas for the Puntland State of Somalia Government and its overseas donors.

Peace be on Puntland Insha’Allah.

26 September 2010.

Making the Somaliland Government accountable to the people of Somaliland.

The USA Government and other Governments can also help to make their Somaliland Government aid more accountable to the people of Somaliland by helping the Somaliland Government in the development of:

1. Private Radio broadcasting.

The Somaliland Government should be encouraged to follow the example of the Puntland Government and allow private radio broadcasting.

Any interested person has been able to establish Private Radio broadcasting in North Somalia Puntland since 1993 (known then as North East Somalia).

North Somalia Puntland has the same economic and security conditions as Somaliland so there is no reason to fear Private Radio broadcasting in Somaliland.

There are hundreds of unused radio frequencies that could provide economic livelihood and a great variety of listening pleasure for the people of Somaliland.

The freedom of the media promotes a diverse range of Private Radio broadcasters and it is time with massive overseas funding about to commence that the general public in Somaliland be able to enjoy and participate in Private broadcasting which has been enjoyed for a long time by Puntland listeners.

To be a caring Government needs a Government that is not afraid of what people say about it on the radio.

When people are critical the Government must welcome good ideas and explain why other ideas are not possible.

In democracies all Governments have information departments who are not interested in restricting what people can do and not interested to maintain a radio broadcast monopoly unless they are afraid of their own people.

In a democracy fear of radio is not needed because every citizen is equal with one vote in elections (unless they broke the law).

Puntland has Private Radio broadcasting, Community Radio broadcasting, Amateur hobby radio broadcasting, Foreign radio relays and Government Radio broadcasting.

Somaliland currently only has Foreign radio relays and Government Radio broadcasting.

The Somaliland Government has access to radio broadcasting in Somaliland and so do foreign relay broadcasters. It is now time to allow the private citizens of Somaliland permission to establish private radio broadcast stations to provide increased public access to the radio airwaves.

Somaliland citizens should be allowed to operate a private broadcast station for their livelihood (money making commercial radio) as well as Community Radio broadcasting stations (not for profit community radio service) and Amateur hobby radio broadcast stations (voluntary, not for money, technical training, for the pleasure of operating a radio station and learning broadcasting techniques).

2. Human rights training and proper conduct training to the members of the Somaliland security service, Somaliland police service, Somaliland prison service, Somaliland military service and all other government department personnel and government service staff. This is part of the training given to all Government employees overseas and should now be included across all parts of the Somaliland Government so as to better respect and serve the people.

3. Freedom of the press

No Government should be allowed to feel it has any right to silence the voice of its own people such as its journalists who are the bravest people. For example in Somalia many journalists have died because they refused to remain silent under threats that have taken many of their lives.

Sudan and Southern Sudan.

A referendum on 9 January 2011 will decide if South Sudan remains part of Sudan or if Southern Sudan becomes independent.

There will be a separate referendum in the disputed Abyei oil rich boarder region between South Sudan and Sudan allowing them to choose to join the south or Sudan in the north.

Something to consider is the fact that both regions want the revenue from this oil rich disputed region so would it not be better if both agreed to share the revenue half to South Sudan and half to Sudan?

If the revenue was managed through the IMF or the World Bank or the UN then an open disclosure of the amount of funds available from this oil could lead to their better use because both Governments would have to account to their peoples as to what happened to there known amount of funds.

Often Government income is unknown and this results in money “disappearing”. So another advantage of such an open system is to protect this money because all the people shall know how much is being given and can check how every dollar is spent.

IMF or the World Bank or the UN can help both South Sudan and Sudan in such an arrangement.

Those are some ideas although South Sudan and Sudan have completed their negations.

Peace be to Sudan Inshallah and peace be to South Sudan Inshallah.

26 September 2010.

Palestine and Israel.

After 1 year of discussion that started in September 2010, the State of Palestine will become a reality if no problem occurs.

One possible problem being discussed is the Israel settlements that are on Palestinian land.

Two ideas.

1. Are there any Israel settlers in Palestinian lands who would like to live under the new State of Palestine?

If yes then would they be welcome to stay in their current homes in the new State of Palestine and receive Palestinian citizenship on the same basis as Palestinians who are Israeli citizens now live in Israel?

2. Would it be possible to exchange some land in Israel for some of the Israel settlements that are on Palestinian land so that some land that is in Israel is exchanged for some land that is in Palestine territory?

Those are two ideas for the Palestine and Israel negotiation team.

12 September 2010.

Burning the Quran cancelled forever.

On 12 September 2010 Radio Somalia welcomes the permanent cancellation of the burning of the Quran when on 11 September 2010 the American teacher with 50 followers said, “Our church shall never burn the Quran, not today and not ever.”

Radio Somalia understands that there are many people who do not know that the Torah (Taurat) and the Gospel (Injil) and the Quran all come from the same One Lord of the Worlds (God in English, Allah (Allaah) in Arabic, YHWH (Yahweh) in Hebrew) so Radio Somalia invites anyone in Somalia, Somaliland, Djibouti, Kenya, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Sudan, Uganda and around the world to Email your questions to somaliahamradio@yahoo.com about anything you don’t understand which God has said in God’s Torah, God’s Gospel and God’s Quran and your questions and the answer shall be broadcast on Radio Somalia.

10 September 2010.

The threat to burn the Quran is “suspended.”

Burning the Quran or burning the Gospel (Injil) or burning the Torah (Taurat) is a great disrespect to God.

God said in the Quran that the Gospel (Injil) and the Torah (Taurat) are all from God.

There are misguided teachers in every religion; one example is a Christian religious teacher in the USA who has 50 followers and said he would burn the Quran on 11 September 2010 to send a message against the extreme ideas of the people in Islam who are killing men, women, children and babies in suicide bomb attacks around the world.

The 11 September 2010 is the ninth anniversary of the 11 September 2001 attack that deliberately killed more than 2,700 Muslims, Christians, Jews and other civilians in New York City, USA.

It is misguided thinking for this one Christian religious teacher who has 50 followers to say that he shall burn the Quran or burn the Gospel (Injil) or burn the Torah (Taurat) because this is not a crime against man but it is disrespect against God because God is the owner of all these Holy books.

No one who calls themselves a religious teacher or a person who believes in God would say he shall burn any of the Holy Scriptures of God (Quran, Gospel or Torah).

The only difference between the Holy Books of God (Quran, Gospel or Torah) is the man (a prophet) to whom God’s message was revealed.

Prophet Moses (Musa, Moosa, Mousa, Moshe, Mosheh) was sent with the Torah (Tawrah, Tawrat, Taurat, Tavrat).

Prophet Jesus (Eesa, Esa, Isa, Iesa, Iesus, Yasu, Yeshua) was sent with the Gospel (Injil, Injeel, Enjil, Enjeel, Al-Enjeel).

Prophet Muhammad was sent with the Quran (The Coran, Al-Coran, Al Coran, The Koran, Al-Koran, Al Koran, The Qur'an, Al-Qur'an, Al Qur'an, The Qur’ān, Al-Qur’ān, Al Qur’ān).

The person who favours one Holy book and is happy to burn another Holy book believes in one man (one prophet that came with one book) and not in God (who revealed all the Holy Books to different men called prophets).

Burning of the Quran is “suspended.”

In 10 September 2010 a Christian religious teacher in the USA who has 50 followers said he shall not burn the Quran because a Muslim religious teacher in New York City agreed to move a mosque away from near the memorial that was built to remember the more than 2,700 Muslims, Christians, Jews and other civilians who were deliberately killed by people who used the name of Islam.

The memorial is located in the site of the Two buildings of the World Trade Center where the more than 2,700 Muslims, Christians, Jews and other civilians died.

The Muslim religious teacher of the Mosque near the memorial in New York City said he had never spoken to that man and had not agreed with anyone to move the mosque which is located near the memorial for the more than 2,700 Muslims, Christians, Jews and others that were killed in the deliberate attack to kill as many civilians as possible in New York City, USA.

A question is, what has the “sending a message against the extreme ideas of the people in Islam who are killing men, women, children and babies in suicide bomb attacks around the world’ got to do with the location of a mosque in New York City since the people overseas who kill other people do not care about where a mosque is located?

For example in Somalia and Pakistan today the killers who say they are Muslim are killing other Muslims which shows there is no religious purpose in these killings and so overseas killers would have no interest in where a mosque in New York City is located.

Everyday the killers do more killing.

Killing is their evil job and their evil mission in life.

The reason given to burn the Holy book was, “To send a message to overseas killers” and the reason given to cancel the burning of the Holy book was “because a mosque agreed to move its location away from the memorial to more than 2,700 Muslims, Christians, Jews and others that were killed in the deliberate attack on civilians in New York City, USA”.

However these two reasons are unrelated because the first reason to burn the Holy Book is about overseas killers, and the reason given to cancel the burning of the Holy Book is about a mosque in New York City.

The Mosque is near the memorial to the more than 2,700 Muslims, Christians, Jews and other civilians who were deliberately killed by evil people using the name of Islam.

The Mosque in New York City does not represent the beliefs of the misguided killers.

The Mosque represents the belief in God, peace and harmony.

The Mosque and all Muslims who believe in God believe that Prophet Moses (Musa), Prophet Jesus (Isa) and Prophet Muhammad all came with the same message that we were all created by the same God.

God has many different names in different languages but He is the same one creator of everything.

The overseas killers do not know God because they kill Gods creations with no mercy.

The Mosque is a beacon for those that believe in God and who love what God has created.

On 11 September 2001 killers deliberately killed more than 2,700 Muslims, Christians Jews and others in New York City and showed their belief in killing as many people as possible and they do not care if they kill Muslims, Christians or Jews.

The proof that this is true can be seen clearly today in Somalia and Pakistan where people who call themselves Muslims kill other Muslim men, women, children and babies without mercy.

The killers believe in killing and disharmony because they have been misguided by Satin to fight with Satin against God.

They kill as many people as they can, including Muslims.

The proof that this is true can be seen clearly today in Somalia and Pakistan where people who call themselves Muslims kill other Muslim men, women, children and babies without mercy.

In Somalia during the Holy month of Ramadan 1431 AH (2010 CE, 2010 AD) when fighting must be suspended unless in self defense, there were special announcements before Ramadan saying that fighting would not be suspended and people that say they are Muslims deliberately without need to defend themselves from any attack killed Muslims in the Holy month of Ramadan.

To the people of America: The location of the Mosque near the memorial to the more than 2,700 Muslims, Christians, Jews and others that were deliberately killed is evidence that Muslims do not support Satin.

It is a Mosque for peace and harmony that is against the senseless killing that is promoted by misguided people.

Radio Somalia congratulates the American Christian religious leaders and the American Jewish religious leaders who publically condemned any burning of the Holy Quran.

Radio Somalia also congratulates the American Christian religious leaders and the American Jewish religious leaders who have publically supported the location of the mosque near the memorial to the more than 2,700 Muslims, Christians, Jews and others who were deliberately killed during the attack on civilians in New York City.

To the people of the world: always remember what God has said in all of God’s Holy books.

1. Do not make sin by over reacting to one senseless misguided person.

2. The act of disrespect to God’s holy books is a matter between God and the wrongdoer.

Wrongdoers seek to encourage others to do what they want by using a few words that can make man angry because they know that angry men cause more sin.

Do not be angry.

Talk calmly and sensibly.

God shall punish the wrongdoer.

God does not need man to do God’s punishments.

God can do everything.

God can protect God’s holy books without any help from man.

Do not allow Satin to trick you to follow someone who is misguided.

What the misguided say in one religion attracts a response from the misguided in other religions because all of the misguided love fighting each other more than they love God.

Do not allow those who are misguided to trick you to become angry so that you make sin.

The misguided are the ones who talk with anger or without sense and you shall find those people in every religion.

Stay away from making sin by rejecting what the misguided people say.

God blesses those that are not angry.

God blesses those that talk sensibly.

God blesses those that listen to the guidance of God more than they listen to the misguidance of man.
