What is RU EMS? RU EMS stands for Radford University Emergency Medical services and is an all volunteer, student run rescue squad providing EMS and Rescue services to the Campus of Radford University. We are a non-transport first response agency licensed by the Virginia Office of EMS. How do I become a member? First you need to have a willingness to help people and the community. You can find our application online in the document file cabinet. Fill this out and bring it to our station. You will then be put in the application pool for membership. There is no minimum training for applicants, however CPR/First Aid is required before you start on a duty shift. Where is RU EMS located at? RU EMS is located in the Allen Building next to the University Bridge in the lower level under RU Police Department. How do I sign up for CPR Classes? You will find the CPR page located under the training section. There you can find the online registration form. How do I get EMS to standby at an event we are having? You can find the standby request online form under this section. Once you fill out this form you will get a confirmation from us acknowledging your request. |
