We could not have opened our new gallery on time had it not been for the swift
and excellent work by a number of great old friends and some fantastic new companies!

A flooring specialist like no other!  
The new gallery needed someone special to level the old (180 year old) flooring and make it a key feature in the new gallery.
Gallery artist Tommy Fitchet was kind enough to point us in the direction of Eddie O'Neill and his company 'Edinburgh Carpet Warehouse'.
What a find and what a choice! Eddie even opened his warehouse late one evening to allow us time to view and choose from his huge selection of flooring at our leisure
- every type of hard and soft covering you could imagine, all under one roof. And that wasn't all. When it came to levelling our old floor to make it ready for the new,
his team worked miracles and the new floor is more than we could ever have hoped for - it's a work of art!

Insurance Approved Security Systems  
Our new gallery is now open and secure!
A huge thanks go to Stephen Heron and his team at Alink Ltd for the excellent new security system.
They were both swift and helpful - a cheerier bunch you could not hope to meet!
Although they had to work around painters, joiners and electricians they provided an efficient, powerful and discreet system -
well worth a call if you want to add security to your home or business in the future.

When I needed a designer to create the logo for Flaubert there was only one port of call; Craig Mackinlay and his company Breeze Creative.
Having worked in marketing for most of my career, Craig has designed everything from product packaging to leaflets and T-Shirts -
and has always come up with something unique. And I must mention Nicola, his wife, who now supports him in Breeze and was one of the

Espresso at its Best

About time they sponsored us! 

The first thing we bought when we opened the gallery was a new Nespresso machine. I've had a small Nespresso machine at home for a few years
and am constantly amazed how rubbish the espresso is in virtually every coffee shop I go to - except when I was on holiday in Turkey last year
(they actually had a Nespresso machine too!). Why most coffee shops don't just throw away their messy grinders
and just get the perfect machine to produce espresso at the right temperature and the right pressure I'll never know!
Nespresso are very speedy with their delivery and they also send you an excellent free magazine every couple of months. What more could you ask for?
