| I am Ron Jones and provide affordable professional piano and guitar instruction at your location. I have 45 years of playing and performing experience. I earned my Masters Degree through Claremont Graduate School and possess two teaching credentials: one at the college level and one for the K-12 grade levels. My music lessons are for students of all ages (beginning at age 5) and for beginning through intermediate levels. I also provide a variety of teaching/learning approaches to meet the unique and distinctive needs of each student including traditional, contemporary, and easy-play methods. In addition, I provide instruction in various musical styles including periods such as Baroque, Classical, and Romantic as well as the 20th Century period which includes Impressionism, Neo-Classicism, Expressionism, Popular, Rock, Heavy Metal, Country, Folk, Bluegrass, Jazz, Blues, and Fusion among others. Further, instruction in musical theory is also provided for all ages, levels, approaches and styles. Effective progress in learning piano and guitar is assured with the constructing of a plan of approach with specific learning objectives which I develop in conjunction with the student. Encouraging the student to participate in the planning process tends to maximize student interest and learning potential.
