We received our Charter (007988) on March 15, 1969, sponsored by the Nanaimo Lions Club. Since then we have been involved in many community, regional, national and international projects. We are in District "I" which encompasses Vancouver Island BC and the Olympic Peninsula in WA. We are in Zone 8 which also includes: Baynes Sound, Comox Valley, Comox Valley Monarchs and Royston-Cumberland Lions Clubs. | Upcoming EventsThe next meeting of the Qualicum Bay Lions Club will be on June 12 at the Lions Den on Lions Wayat 7:00 pm . Dinner will be at 5:45 pm at the Crown and Anchor pub . Pancake Breakfast Every Sunday there is a meat draw to support the Qualicum Bay Lions community activites. This draw is held at the Crown and Anchor pub on the old highway and begins at 3:15 pm with the Jam Session . Silent Auction There will be a silent auction at the Lighthouse Community Centre (Nordin Room) on Sunday June 10 2012 from 8:00 am to 11:30 am Donations are gratefully accepted by Helmut Severyns at (250) 757 - 2079 . Thank you . Bluegrass FestivalThe second annual Bluegrass Festival will be held at the Lions Field on June 29 , 30 and July 1 2012 . The Lions Club will be serving Hamburgers , Hotdogs and Fries from noon on each of the days. Enjoy the Canada Day weekend and come on over to the Lions ballpark to enjoy good music , a hotdog or hamburger and fries along with a cool drink .
