USTA Combo Doubles League

The SOUTHERN COMBO DOUBLES LEAGUE is one of the fastest growing adult programs in the USTA's Southern Section. This program features Men's and Women's teams playing 3 doubles matches. The doubles teams use a combined NTRP rating that does not exceed the level on which they are playing. The unique format is what makes the COMBO DOUBLES league so fun! It also offers the chance to play with different people and to make new friends.

Raleigh Area Tennis League (RATL)

The Raleigh Area Tennis League is a weekday evening mixed doubles league.  The competition will be divided into various league levels with players using the National Rating Program as a way to determine which league to participate in.

There will be teams from city parks as well as clubs and subdivisions.  In the past, there have been existing park leagues as well as leagues involving inter-club play.  RATL is an attempt to unify these leagues in the hope of offering expanded competition and increased participation.  Matches will be played on city park courts, club courts, or on any site where a team entering the league can guarantee access to three lighted tennis courts for home matches on the evening of the league level in which they wish to participate.

World Team Tennis (QH WTT teams play in the summer)

The WTT Recreational Leagues run year-round at public parks, tennis clubs, schools, college campuses, military bases, corporations, camps, residential communities and tennis facilities in more than 1,000 U.S. Cities. The format features co-ed teams competing in six sets - men's and women's doubles, men's and women's singles and mixed doubles. The unique WTT format, which is also played in the Professional League, includes no-ad scoring, substitution and coaching.

Players have an opportunity to qualify for WTT National Qualifiers and the National Championship. Participants also receive the Point of Contact newsletter along with discounted tickets to professional tennis tournaments, movies and much more through the WTT Membership Program.

This past summer there were 7 Quail Hollow WTT teams. There were 4 in the 3.0 division, 2 in the 3.5 and 1 in the 4.0 division. WTT is a lot of fun and provides for some competitive tennis in a rousing team format.

Congratulations to 2 Quail Hollow WTT teams that made it to the regional qualifying tournament held at Millbrook Exchange August 22-24. The QH Coronas, captained by Susan Lemmons, in the 3.0 Division and the QH Smash, captained by Mike Frick, in the 3.5 Division had a great time at the tournament. They did a tremendous time representing QH tennis!
