Queer Readers 2024

Welcome to another year of great books!

Our next meeting is scheduled for Monday 20th May 2024 at 6.30pm in the New Farm Library meeting room. 

The theme for May is "Everyone Welcome!!" which showcases a collection of books encompassing different topics and characters from under the Queer LGBTQIA+ rainbow umbrella!  Choose to read one or read them all! There are multiple copies in the BCC library in various media formats. The books include:

‘Pageboy: A Memoir’ by Elliot Page, 2019. 304pp, 19 copies.  

‘It's Been A Pleasure, Noni Blake’ by Claire Christian, 2021. 368pp, 8 copies, audiobook, ebook. 

‘The Hidden Case of Ewan Forbes: the transgender trial that threatened to upend the British Establishment’ by Zoe-Jane Playdon, 2021. 384pp, 5 copies, audiodisc.  

The second half of the meeting, if time allows,  will be a general discussion on any other Queer books, films or streaming recommendations, & any events which might be of interest to the group.

New Members always welcome... just turn up!
