The ESF provision in the NW region was inspected by Her Majesty’s Inspectors, Ofsted, in February 2008, and the findings of the Ofsted inspectors judged the provisions to be good.

The LSC is committed to supporting new and existing providers within the scope of the Common Inspection Framework and Framework for Excellence. The LSC supports new and existing providers in meeting contractual requirements in relation to accurate self assessment and to enhance their quality assurance systems.

To further improve the 2007 – 2013 ESF programme, the LSC North West has secured further funding to implement a support programme focussed on the third sector.

Education Relations has been awarded the contract for the delivery of the programme to support the third sector. Education Relations are in the process of planning a programme that will support a series of peer groups involving new and existing ESF only providers. The aim is to develop improved quality systems and accurate and evidence based Self Assessment Reports.
