Qiao Yi Lion Dance Team Chinese New Year Open Day 僑藝醒獅團新春獅藝展 2012 Time: 2-5pm, 4 Feb 2012. Venue: Christchurch Chinese Hall, 22 St.Asaph Street, Christchurch. In conjunction with the Chinese New Year of the Dragon 2012 Qiao Yi Lion Dance Team is having an open day that will include lion dance performances, drumming performance, exhibitions, games as well as a chance to learn a bit about this very interesting art. Audiences will get a chance to try on lion costumes, dance a few lion steps and play the musical instruments. Entry is by gold coin donation and the event is suitable for all the family especially children. The aim of this event is to help enhance the 2012 Chinese New Year experience and bring a bit of cheer to Christchurch after a very tough 2011. We hope to give every one a great start to the Year of the Dragon, may it bring Hope and Happiness to all.  |
