BECOME “FRIENDS” AND SUPPORT THE CENTER  

The Center for Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies at Queens Colleges needs your support. Please help us so we can:

•  Preserve the Hellenic identity in America through education.

•  Offer more academic opportunities to Queens College 1,500 students of Greek Origin.

  •  Reach out to the largest Greek community in the US , here in New York , by offering more educational and cultural programs and activities.

•  Spread Greek letters and the spirit of an enlightened Hellenism beyond the Greek community, to the academia and the community at large and in turn engage other cultures in a mutually beneficial dialogue.

•  Preserve the history of generations of immigrants who have worked under harsh conditions and honor them through the establishment of an electronic Greek Immigrant Archive at the Center.

No amount is too small and any gift you may wish to give to the Center is a demonstration of both your support to the Center's work as well of your commitment to Hellenism's future in America . A future that is tied to the education we offer to the younger generation of Greek Americans.

Tax-deductible contributions: Any contribution or gift you make to the Center is tax-deductible. Your contribution will go to the Center's special account at the Queens College Foundation, a non-profit organization.

Friends of the Center of Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies at Queens College.

  You can help the Center by joining the Friends of the Center. You can become a Friend of the Center , by choosing to join any of the categories of “Friends” with the corresponding contribution as indicated below. For instance, if you chose to contribute $100, you become Μελος ( Melos ). If you chose to contribute $50,000 or more, you become Μεγας Ευεργετης (Megas Evergetis).

Every year, the Center will publicize the list of the Friends of the Center. Of course, we will respect the desire of any individual contributor who wishes to remain anonymous.

Friends of the Center, Categories of Contributions:

  Μελος -Melos Up to $100

Τακτικος -Taktikos $150 to $450

Φιλικος -Filikos $500 to $950

Αρωγος -Arogos $1,000 to $1,900

Μεγας Αρωγος -Megas Arogos $2,000 to $4,500

Χορηγος -Choregos $5,000 to $9,500

Μεγας Χορηγος -Megas Xoregos $10,000 to $24,000

Ευεργετης -Evergetis $25,000 to $49,000

Μεγας Ευεργετης -Megas Evergetis $50,000 and above
