Marching Orders (seen on a wall of every classroom)

This curriculum was compiled by a team.

Dennis Yuzenas   yuzenasdennis@bellsouth.net    I met him in 1987, I made presentations to his middle school classes, his school accepted my donation of an electric car.   He's been teaching for more than 20 years, holds a master's degree in education and he's a dad of David (who might come to QBE school) and Abby who will attend Auburn University in Sept. 2010.   His wife Amy is a cool teacher, too.

Maria Brown  mariambrown@btinternet.com  is an alumna of the school that Will and I share.   Maria has a son in the British Army and she taught at Aiglon college for six months.   She came up with the slogan "Let Students Lead"  ... and counsels against negative imperatives.   She met a former headmistress Margaret Williamson who had some key points:  Strong leadership, students need a say in decision making, and respect by everyone for everyone...   good keypoints.

Jeff Hutt   jwhutt@yahoo.com   My colleague at my current place of employement, Language Academy in Fort Lauderdale, and a good soul.   Put him next to Dennis Yuzenas and I swear they are near-identical twins born 15 years apart.    Both teachers believe in projects to drive the class, not the textbook.   Jeff has two kids, his wife is from Romania and he has been an ardent cheerleader and advocate for me.

Steve McCrea  (SteveMcCrea.com) is an avid user of the Internet in the classroom.   The exercise of compiling a curriculum for teenagers is an opportunity to make public my thoughts about what schools should be doing....particularly the places where I work.
