Hello and greetings from Private Meredith Pool Camp # 1505, Sons of Confederate Veterans. Our camp the Private Pool Camp is the only SCV Camp in New Jersey, chartered September 11, 1989. We are named after Private Meredith Pool, of Company A, 42nd North Carolina Infantry. Private Pool was captured on December 25, 1864, in North Carolina and was imprisoned at Fort Delaware. Private Pool died of disease on July 19, 1865 and is buried in Finns Point National Cemetery in Salem County, New Jersey. Finns Point contains the remains of 2,436 Confederate soldiers that died at Fort Delaware.
Dues for the Sons of Confederate Veterans are $30.00 per year. All new applicants must pay a onetime $5.00 application fee.
