| First, a Word About AdSenseMost people posting on the internet tend to agree that Google's AdSense program has the best pay out of any of the PPC advertising companies. But, Google has an extensive list of policies and TOS (terms of service). And more and more, the internet is getting flooded with people who claim that their AdSense accounts were canceled for no known reason, and before they even earned enough to reach their first paycheck. I am one of these people. My account was disabled after just three short weeks. I had only earned $37, which is now gone because Google disabled my account before I ever reached the $100 payout. I have no idea what would cause them to disable my account. I received the same vague email that everyone does who loses their AdSense account:
And what is really scary for AdSense publishers is that Google does not send a warning email before disabling your account. If it can happen to me, who loved AdSense and purposely did nothing to jeopardize my account, then it can happen to anyone. That is why I created this page. For those who have been banned from AdSense, there are other options. I will discuss some of the more popular ones on this page.
AdSense Alternatives
Pay Per PlayWhen looking for a free advertising program to go with to monetize your site, AdSense is the huge monster in the industry that everyone knows about. But there is a new advertising program on the market that may soon be the next giant. It is called NetAudioAds and they offer PPP (pay per play) ads instead of PPC (pay per click) ads. This is a very exciting concept! With PPC ads, you don't make money unless someone clicks on one of your ads and more and more people are beginning to ignore text and image ads. With PPP ads, however, a 5 second audio ad plays as soon as someone loads up your site. You get piad for each impression! This is going to be a great way to make money, and NetAudioAds also offers a generous referral program. Sign up for your free account today and give it a try.
Pay Per ClickPerhaps one of the best alternatives to AdSense for small sites is AdBrite. They offer a variety of ad styles, just as AdSense does, but they also offer inline text ads. You may have noticed them on this website. These kinds of ads show up as highlighted text links imbedded within the content of your site. It's a nice way to earn money for your site without having unsightly banners and skyscrapers all over the place. There are three great reasons to go with AdBrite. First, AdBrite accepts you super fast and has no minimal requirements. Many of the great alternatives to AdSense require that you have a very high traffic, well-established site. AdBrite accepted me without even having time to aprove my site. It was almost instant. Second, it is super easy to use. AdBrite is the only PPC company that I've tried out that's as easy to use as AdSense. AdBrite's website is super user friendly. And finally, AdBrite has a super low minimum payout of $5.00, which is great for sites that don't get a whole lot of steady traffic. AdBrite is completely free to join. If you'd like to join and try it out for a little while, just click the button below. Clicksor is another great AdSense alternative. They are better at matching the ads to your site's content than AdBrite. But, Clicksor is not a good alternative for small sites. Clicksor requires that your site get 5,000 page views per day or 150000 page views per month. Also, Clicksor will not accept websites or blogs that are hosted for free. While their requirements may weed out a lot of sites, including this one, they pay great and their ads are attractive. If you had your AdSense account disabled, and you meet Clicksor's requirements, then I would recommend going with Clicksor. Kontera offers in text ads that you can customize. You can choose to have the ad to display text online, text and image, a billboard (looks like a small banner), or video. All of Kontera's ads run imbedded in the body of your content. They show as highlighted terms that pop up a small add when a visitor hover over them. Since Kontera doesn't offer banner, block, or sky scraper ads, they are designed to run in conjunction with another program. For example, you could have a site running banner ads from AdBrite and in-text ads from Kontera. You could also run Kontera along with Amazon. The choices are really infinite. Kontera does not require that you have a certain number of visitors to your site daily. They do require that your site contain at least 50 words on each page throughout the majority of your site. Kontera has a minimum payout of $100, just like Google. They will roll over your earnings from month to month until you reach $100, then they will send you a check.
