What a glorious day for skiing! Over 70 kids from 7 or 8 teams showed up for ideal conditions at Grafton Ponds. Lollipoppers were led on course by the actual Bill Koch (although I believe few had any idea who he or was, but their parents seemed impressed). Having the terrain park in mid course added to the excitement, and the three person wave start led to some scenic views of groups of skiers cruising along in synch. Congratulations to many first time racers and special kudos to Scott Mooney and Koby Gordon who landed 360's on the final lap of their respective races.
     Thanks to all who helped out with this race. Special appreciation to the Berkshire East and Walpole teams that joined us,to Ken Walker for organizing the Ski Orienteering course that was a special treat for many, for Hannah Hornsby for her command of logistics and materials, to Bill Salmon and Grafton Ponds for hosting the event and doing all the work of grooming and course set-up, and to Manya Gordon and Tim Clark for help as starters and timers.
